Once Upon An Event - Plotting post

A new event is coming, and you may all blame the Chell/Mallia player for it. I was getting ready to announce this month's event and then BOOM. Insperation.


So BOOM.

Incoming event!

On the Isle side: Boom... is the word. Things are about to go boom. I wrote the event based on Yen Sid still being out like a light and the crocodile from last month's event still being on the loose... if anything changes before the event drops to either of those situations, PLEASE LET CHICKLET-MOD KNOW ASAP! And no, that is not a hint there will also be an asp loose. This month, anyway.

Auradon side:
With the winter holidays coming to an end, why not one last holiday and story time? Once upon a time, someone realized that many of the worlds the Missrecalled are coming from have similar stories. So to ring in the new year with a bang, let's share some fairytales and history!

By the by, this is a really good time to enable anyone who plays characters from fairy tales to join the game if they'd be likely to come to the Auradon side! Event drops on Tuesday the 24th, so apps to bring someone in on time must be posted by Wednesday the 18th! Please make sure anyone new to game reserves and that you comment on their reserve. People already in game do not need to reserve if they do not want to!

Please feel free to use the space below to plot what stories will be shared. I know at least one player :: Cough Sail Cough :: is chomping at the bit to do so!

What stories should I work on writing up, for her part of the storytelling? Please help me prioritize!

Definitely going to be worked on, because they're super relevant, if not the point of her sharing her world's history:

• Atlantis
  
• the 12 Dancing Princesses (only one princess in this version, though)
  
• the Sword in the Stone/King Arthur (well, some of it, anyway)
  
• Sleeping Beauty
  
• Beauty and the Beast
  
• Pinocchio (related, anyway... sorta.)
  
• Cinderella
  
• the Erlking and the Wild Hunt
  

Might be told at the event, if anyone has any interest, or I feel like it:

• Baba Yaga (sorta? she knows of her, but I'd have to look up stories to attribute to her....)
  
• about Chell... sort of? she's found mentions of him in her book, if anyone's curious!

• Not Midas - a story about a king's fortune turning to wood/junk until he gave it away

Might not do these up for the event; there are so many other stories that're more easily written in! I don't have any particular ideas offhand for how to best work them into Mallia's setting, if they'd even be possible in it, is the problem.... but I can always noodle over them later!

Gimme your recs! Help me prioritize! I'm mostly looking for European ones, particularly from France and the areas close to it, for the purposes of her library -- but I'd be happy to hear of ones from even much further away, for figuring out how to work them into her world/setting in general! Do you have a favorite fairy tale or bit of folklore that I've missed? Are there any stories, especially ones on my Maybe-yes list, that you're particularly interested in? ...or any that your characters would be interested in?

Mallia's not going to ask anyone to get on stage themselves, exactly -- but if anyone'd like to see themselves cast in one of the roles, their likeness used for a character, she could totally do that! In fact, she's asking for volunteers, particularly for the part of the fairy in a lot of those stories.

Anyone want to raise their hand? Who, and for what role, if they have a preference?
