Some Encantoed Evening

missrecalled_oocHola, everyone! Some of you may have noticed a few months back that characters from a certain movie were quietly added to the list of characters that couldn't be apped. And if you did, you get a gold star for being observant. That's right, your mods have been busy plotting, and this February, we thought we might give the game a little love by introducing one of Disney's most magical families in a special way.
That's right, we are hoping to do an Encanto AU section to this next event! So if you are interested in bringing an Encanto character to Missrecalled or know someone who is, please stay tuned!
Let's start with reserves! Even if you are in game, if you want to bring in an Encanto character under this AU (see the AU section for more information) you must reserve in advance! Reserves will open in waves. The first wave will be the Mods. We will be using that time to mark out who is NPC only (spoiler alert, Casita is an NPC!), who cannot be apped during the AU, and who the two of us are claiming because we're greedy guts who wanna have fun too!
The second round of reserves will open on January 26. This will be for anyone currently in game. You may Reserve up to TWO Encanto AU characters, and they do not count against your one character a month app limit! This is a special rule only for this event!
The third round of reserves will open on February 1st. And invites will work a little differently for this! For starters, if you have not used your bonus December/January invite, you have that too - we will allow it to be used for this as an extension! And if you have do Bonus AC in January, you have that as well. Also because we want to welcome as much of the family as want to come play... if you need more invites, come talk to the mod team and we will see what we can do to help!
As reserves are first come first serve, however, we ask that you not have your invitees all rush the boards at the same time. You may invite a maximum of 2 people in one day. No matter how many invites you have squirreled away in your cheeks. This is in hopes of getting as many diverse and wonderful new friends involved as possible. However if you feel you have a super compelling reason you somehow need more than that - again, please contact the mods.
Reserves and apps for this special AU event will close on February 11th. Presuming we have enough players to launch the event (we promise, the bar is super low here, folks) the event will be on the 16th, which is when all the AU characters will be able to officially enter the game, with the prompts set up for that.
If we don't hit the threshold to run the event now, fear not friends! We will simply save the event and run it at a later date! We have a plan B ready and everything!
Oh! Right! All y'all wanted to know what theAU details are, yes? Well we're going to give you enough here to - we hope - help you decide if you want to app or not. We might give some more details if you are planning to app and poke us, but most of the info will be dropping once apps are closed, so everyone can start on the same page as much as possible.
But here is what we can tell you guys now...
It was not terribly long after the movie ended, a day seemingly like any other. Some of the family was out in the village, perhaps some of the villagers were spending time in Casita. Then suddenly Casita's doors closed, and would not open. Doors, windows, nada. Casita... seemed... scared. Or protective. But... that was a while ago now...
And for the question we presume we'll get the most: If you want to app an Encanto character but a different AU or not AU at all... can you?
The answer, my dear and darling friends is you will be able to in the not too distant future (read: a few months) but not just yet. We want to give time for this group to settle in.
Now, there will be a special app, and those of you with sharp eyes might see why as soon as we drop it. Stay tuned >.>
